Compton Chamberlayne walk

On Thursday 21st October 2021 after a night of gales and very heavy rain Andy Croker and I ventured on a country walk around Compton Chamberlayne village. Sheila and I walked this route in 1998. I did not recall any of it.

The walk starts north of the village where we parked on the verge. We strolled into Compton in glorious warm sunshine. When got to the church we decided to look inside. I took various photos as below.

Back in 2002, Sheila began using a digital camera. Here are a few of her results of the centres of flowers. Her small Nikon camera was specially suited for these close up photos.

Lily Pattern

Sheila worked on a series of images using just one bloom of a lily plant in 2004.

A pattern made by Sheila in 2004 and never used.

Here she produced a Variation

This is Lily of Lagona.

Our Woodland

 Our Woodland

These photos were taken on the 8th of May 2021. I ventured into the woods next to our home on a day when stormy weather was predicted. It so happened that the woods screened most of the strong winds. This was lucky for a group of Salisbury College students who were trying to make a film on the Topic of the Game of Thrones. But I was able to see photos everywhere that morning and below is a sample.
