Today I took just two pictures. One of a periwinkle close up & sadly unsharp. The other the letter E also no sharp!
Clearly I had to disguise my failings and here are the results.
The E has had Mehdi Vibrations filter followed by the Tiles filter set to 4 tiles and 10% offset.
The Periwinkle went through cropping and then Medhi Kaleidoscope filter followed by the Wave filter. In addition a quick brush with the Smudge tool. What beauty.

Today we went on a 5 mile walk around Rockbourne and Whitsbury. Lovely walk and a lovely day to do this. Basically we did this as a recce for the Chiselbury Grove Strollers Easter walk in 3 weeks time, This was a normal field until I flooded it. I liked the stubble edge on going over the crest.

Today 1st March we start a sort of diary where we take one photo per day for the month of March. Sheila and I are doing this because we set this idea for our U3A students and so we thought that we had better join in too. Then at the end of the month the idea is to produce a printed book with one page per day. These are to be A5 or so in size.

New Year's Day Stroll

Today I managed together some people from our street to go for short walk near the village of Coombe Bissett. There were seven of us in all. This included two people who are new to our street called Giselle and Jerry. After our walk we invited them to our house for nibbles and drinks. This went down very well.
Here is one of the pictures I took today. The weather was dull and cool. Slightly damp under foot in places. The ford here is quite deep - at least 4 feet.

29th December 2007 in Salisbury

Here are a couple of photos I took whilst collecting the newspaper. I went through woods behind our dwelling and took a picture from above. This is the clearest view and as you can see there are many branches and trunks in the way.

The second is from the best view of the south face of St Mary's Cathedral on a lovely clear day. Temperature about 8 deg C and no wind.

Canal Confusion in Cheshire and not a cat in sight.

A rare sight of a lock-keeper

This image is an amalgam of three photos taken on Cheshire earlier this year. These were all canal based. So you can see the lock keeper opening the lock gate and the end elevation of a building by the lock and a bridge with some text painted thereon many years before. Also another image of a narrow boat that was passing through. Whether this type of montage is to your liking it is quite enjoyable making them. It may do well in camera club competitions but that is not paramount in my mind. That is the enjoyment of making an image that satisfies.
